Series 2: Zine Museum Collection, 2025-03-31
Scope and Contents
Through a collaborative partnership between The Art & Art History Department, Olin Library and The Cornell Fine Arts Museum, the Rollins Book Arts Collection was first developed in 2018 to support faculty teaching and student learning at Rollins. Book arts is a discipline that produces artists' books--interactive art objects that explore a wide variety of content through both traditional and experimental book structures. As a teaching resource, The Rollins Book Arts Collection is designed to support the College's mission to educate students for global citizenship and responsible leadership by supporting coursework and research across many disciplines. The collection currently includes several dozen books produced by both professional artists and Rollins students which examine a range of contemporary issues including globalism, American politics, immigration, cultural and racial identity, biomedical ethics, environmentalism, family, sexuality and gender studies, language, writing, design and storytelling.
