Forty-two folders. Thirty-nine folders of letters and postcards written to William Sloane Kennedy. Arranged alphabetically in individual files by correspondent's name where three or more letters are found by the same person, or the correspondent was a significant person in Kennedy's life. ChronolOgically arranged within folders where dates are known. Where only one or two letters exist from a Single correspondent, they are grouped together in files and arranged alphabetically Three folders contain letters and postcards written by Kennedy to others. All photographs have been removed and placed in the photographs series.
