Majority undated. Eleven folders. Photographs, reprints, photographic postcards, negatives and drawings of William Sloane Kennedy; Walt Whitman, their friends and associates, and their residences, etc. Arranged alphabetically by subject. Where only one or two photos of a subject are found, they have been combined into a single file, and arranged alphabetically within the file. Within a single subject's file, the materials are arranged chronologically where dates are known.

Walt Whitman Photographs. Fifteen photographs ranging in size from 2 x 3 in. to 5 x 7 in., one etching of Whitman, 5.5 x 8 in.; and one photograph of a Whitman quotation, 8 x 10 in.

Walt Whitman Portraits. Twenty one photographs, 8 x 10 in., ranging in date from c. 1840 to c. 1888. Includes portraits of Whitman, photographs of a news article about Whitman, photographs of a crayon portrait, a painted portrait, engraved portrait, a bronze statue, and sketches and drawings of Whitman.
